Traditions Parents

Parent involvement is vital at Traditions Education. Whether they volunteer to help with a class party, organize a field trip, teach a Life Skills Training Course class, or help to schedule a Career Navigation appointment, our parents play an important role in the enhancement of our student program. Our students love to see their parents supporting their goals and hard work.

Committees

Field Trip Committee

Members serving on the Field Trip Committee work together to plan a minimum of four field trips each year for our students and their families. These can include field trips related to the subjects currently being studied, in order to enhance understanding and support real-world application.

Career Navigation Committee

Members serving on the Career Navigation Committee are responsible for finding and planning a minimum of eight opportunities for our High School students to visit professionals in various markets and industries.

Service Committee

At least six days of our school calendar are dedicated to off-campus events where our students serve our community members in meaningful ways. The Service Committee acts as liaison to plan the logistics of these service events.

Fundraiser Committee

The Fundraiser Committee has one of the most important responsibilities with regard to our future growth. With support from the administration and community, they will plan, organize, and execute events designed to raise money for our student programs and campus enhancement plans.

Volunteering

Those who are not serving in a committee are given the option to volunteer in other ways, such as teaching a Life Skills Training Course unit, assisting staff members with various preparation tasks, teaching a Fun Friday class, providing conversational foreign language practice with the students, providing additional help to the committees, etc. We ask that each household fulfill 15 volunteer hours in a year, or take advantage of the buy-out option.
